Dr. Debra Harmady, who is board certified in General Pediatrics, was born and raised in Old Bridge, NJ. She started her academic career at Rutgers, working on medical research with interferon and melanoma, treatment while completing her Bachelors Degree. She graduated from medical school at Hahnemann / Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA and was awarded for her services as Clinic Director of the Homeless Outreach Project which provided healthcare at different shelters and on the streets of Center City. She then returned to NJ to complete her pediatric residency at Monmouth Medical Center (MMC) in Long Branch.

Dr. Harmady has been in private practice in Middletown for over 15 years. She is the Pediatrician for the Monmouth County Regional Cleft Lip/Palate - Craniofacial Team at MMC. She chaired the Performance Improvement Committee at MMC for over a decade and serves as the school physician for Monmouth Regional High School. She is actively involved with the NJ Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, working with many of their quality improvement projects and to advocate for children with special needs.

Dr. Harmady is on staff at both MMC and Jersey Shore Hospital. She is a clinical professor for Monmouth University PA and NP programs, and Georgetown University NP program.

Dr. Harmady has volunteered her medical services at the Parker Clinic in Red Bank, NJ for over a decade and every 2 years returns to Guatemala to work with the Hospital De La Familia. Her hobbies are gardening, kayaking, cycling, needlepoint, reading, traveling and especially spending time with her dogs.
